The Arthur Lok Jack-chaired Neal and Massy Holdings Ltd has reported that third party revenue for the nine months ended June 30, 2008, has surpassed the $5 billion mark, an increase of 41 per cent over the previous year.

After-tax profit was recorded at $356,158,000 and profit attributable to shareholders increased by 35 per cent to reach $328 million, the Group stated in financial highlights for the nine months ended June 30, 2008.

“The Group’s earnings per share reached $3.56, an increase of 30 per cent over the previous year. This has been derived usiing a weighted average shareholding of 92.2 million as compared with 88.9 million shares at June 30, 2007,” Lok Jack stated in a published report.

“The results for the period reflect the Group’s increased shareholding in The Barbados Shipping & Trading Company Ltd (BS&T) for four months, March-June 2008, while Almond Resorts Inc, in which the Group now holds a 51 per cent interest, is now being treated as a subsidiary for the first time.”

Stating that the integration of BS&T’s operations and management into the wider N&M Group is continuing, Lok Jack said that barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Group is expected to show a substantially improved performance at the end of the September 30 financial period compared with the previous year.

At the end of trading yesterday on the T&T Stock Exchange, N&M shares closed at $64.45, down 4 cents with 4, 485 stock units crossing the floor.
