The complicated process of homeownership got a little easier thanks in main part to Republic Bank's signature homeowner empowerment initiative, the Republic Bank Mortgage Fair, recently staged at Trincity Mall.
The Republic Bank Mortgage Fair facilitates the home acquisition process for current and potential homeowners by bringing customers together to speak one-on-one with key Bank figures in an effort to foster closer relations between homeowners, stakeholders and realtors.
An annual Bank staple, the Republic Bank Mortgage Fair provides comprehensive answers on homeownership, including information of "The 3 Step Mortgage Process," as well as provides a dynamic showcase for Republic Bank's Mortgages Made Simple product, in addition to a host of other services associated with home acquisition.
As mall shoppers capitalised on the opportunity to speak to the Bank's knowledgeable Sales Officers, they were provided with on-the-spot financial advice and relevant information to prospective customers, such as legal requirements involved in home/land purchases; the process of land and home valuation; and some of the viable property developments that currently exist.
Republic Bank, Marketing Manager, Group Marketing and Communications, Peter Adam in outlining the Bank's vision behind the Mortgage Fair said, "We wanted to work more closely with our customers and in leveraging the Fair to become a 'One-Stop Mortgage Shop,' we hope that we have made homeownership and home equity loans simpler and more affordable."
"Our attitude toward working with our customers stems from a conscientious goal to give our customers the tools and expertise necessary to make their dreams reality. And in that respect, this Mortgage Fair represents another innovative and successful way that we have achieved this," Adam added.
Also present at the Mortgage Fair was a cadre of qualified officials comprised of Attorneys, Valuators, Realtors, Quantity Surveyors and Home Developers. They provided key information to potential and current homeowners, which was equally useful and important in purchasing a house. Top-tier insurance advice was also provided on homeowner's comprehensive cover, construction insurance and life insurance.
Adam added, "In addition to the Fair, mortgages are available at 34 of our branches and this comprehensive branch outreach gives us a tremendous advantage since we are better able to reach out to more homeowners - current and potential."
The Mortgage Fair comes in the same vein as other customer-oriented initiatives including the Commercial Customer Business Seminar; the Annual Republic Bank Customer Panel - an initiative which facilitates communication between customers and the Bank; and the Corporate Breakfast Seminar Series - an initiative that informs customers of business trends and tips for success.
